Food Handlers Course

Accreditated Food Handler's Courses are a quick and inexpensive way of meeting the Australia and New Zealand Food Standards (FSANZ) requirements for food safety training for everyone involved in the preparation, handling and service of food. Food Handler's Courses lead to the issue of a Statement of Attainment which are nationally recognised and accepted by government agencies and food safety inspectors throughout the country.

We offer Level 1 Food Handler's Courses suitable everyone involved in a food business. These courses are 100% online and take two to three hours to complete online. This is the entry level food handling qualification for people working in the hospitality, tourism, retail and food transport industries. If you are just starting out and looking to give resume a boost to secure that first job or if you are just wanting to get a formal qualification as verification of your knowledge as a food handler then this is the course for you. SITXOHS002A - Follow workplace hygiene procedures includes sections about following hygiene procedures and indentifying hygiene hazards, reporting personal health issues, preventing food and other item contamination and preventing cross contamination by washing hands.

Level 2 food handler's courses for those who want to extend their knowledge and are mandatory for anyone in the role of the nominated Food Safety Supervisor. Our Level 2 food handler's course builds on the level 1 course and includes online training and multiple choice assessment plus a short workplace skills assessment which can be signed off by a workplace supervisor. To complete this course you must have access to a real or simulated work environment. The Level 2 Food Handler's Course - SITXFSA001A provides training in the implementation of procedures for food safety, safe storage of food, safe preparation of food, the safe provision of single use items, maintaining a clean environment and the safe disposal of food.
